I can con= nect to wireless network, obtain IP address, and usually transmit a few bits bef= ore I start to get timeouts. Ping works even when other types of traffic don't = (e.g pkg update or fetch). Is there some ifconfig knob I could tweak? Or something else in order to ma= ke it work reliably? Any help appreciated. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org Fri Jul 22 17:35:18 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-wireless@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A35A3BA13F7 for ; Fri, 22 Jul 2016 17:35:18 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from vfilipch@gmail.com) Received: from mail-io0-x230.google.com (mail-io0-x230.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:4001:c06::230]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 (128/128 bits)) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "Google Internet Authority G2" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 6F3D71BD7 for ; Fri, 22 Jul 2016 17:35:18 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from vfilipch@gmail.com) Received: by mail-io0-x230.google.com with SMTP id 38so111392311iol.0 for ; Fri, 22 Jul 2016 10:35:18 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=mime-version:from:date:message-id:subject:to; bh=GDD+U1ZcHYcubX/uYZVFYJ/UCBW1SH4IMi9NsiQy5p4=; b=KkRIb/AJp9dmKjK1umLXCK49OCH5lTtDIVYP+vWbIu/1Uik07m2jhlAImbE/6ngHCK MSRUIW866Cn+W6TUrRs3cGtyfDy2cZ876i9WgVQsrxpi0AZv01EMOJiZg9LYUD8DNVzb lHHem7fX7ymaAcVmooEZXYGKFVfEP1cj/XaBMmngSBW0o3nxFwfESVJRbnGeqpzbGetJ ZLFKP3xUgpiOzzp4ECj1bzgKRD/ofHsH/HePq7FPCJQK4+g0gtQNB0IJegwo7DGtX7PJ e3UpDS92OSWOJ3dlwEOO5Ev9qlIJwt7vYnNolQ15gMzqQBsKGPPyFBS3miebf4ZNBb/N 1IpA== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20130820; h=x-gm-message-state:mime-version:from:date:message-id:subject:to; bh=GDD+U1ZcHYcubX/uYZVFYJ/UCBW1SH4IMi9NsiQy5p4=; b=dMrrIcCy5VJT+k7jm7dDzCbD1oLTIDX3qKUy9JsKCyUpIb6SOG3mG0hunqV4OHRyjD YBBazqoyvmZJjoEmkAYfq0wlGAHRDCrvWueB32nGTW+JfNGJybxq17cZmFrsghPOMN6F kahfzjP01/XNR0zZaEy4wjHRO2xJXihPYNeaGcrYLgaTloh7n+vPUNHvHtMblI43fQy1 HUHW0V4WBZMz1MT2BjJKkufmt/y5VxSf+MXjTjU7tY0K5KRUV+Esi1o0oBv0JPwFwZX9 y79s8uaWvilM/avSodFQG21rxziSmQxh4blx/L0mc5z9O+AGeYuK3bFt5a/piGvBhiLn 2GUA== X-Gm-Message-State: AEkooutHtHjP6iTfx1wkuAEDUzUT3RzOReFljkY8Db1U7lnjfVuArR5NlXyq2/qeWV1hlWBQEEwlpyyTJQ7Pjw== X-Received: by 10.107.140.17 with SMTP id o17mr5698457iod.69.1469208917730; Fri, 22 Jul 2016 10:35:17 -0700 (PDT) MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.36.208.150 with HTTP; Fri, 22 Jul 2016 10:35:17 -0700 (PDT) From: Valery Filipchuk Date: Fri, 22 Jul 2016 12:35:17 -0500 Message-ID: Subject: BCM4321 wireless card To: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org, bjorn.jonare@gmail.com Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.22 X-BeenThere: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.22 Precedence: list List-Id: "Discussions of 802.11 stack, tools device driver development." I am trying to make BCM4321 work with PC-BSD (10.3) which I installed on my laptop. I had done a few step toward this goal which I found at various sites: 1. % cd /usr/ports/net/bwn-firmware-kmod 2. % make install clean 3. updated /boot/defaults/loader.conf with if_bwn_load-"YES" 4. rebooted After reboot my card is still not recognized. Even "lspci" lists the card, "ifconfig" doesn't show wlan0 . "kldstat | grep bwn" lists following bwn modules: if_bwn.ko siba_bwn.ko I saw your post https://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-wireless/2016-May/006763.html in which you said you got BCM4321 working, but I am very new to FreeBSD, so I am completely lost. What am I missing and what I have to do next? Would you be so kind as to point me into a right direction? Thanks in advance!
