Tested on my 11.0-RC2 machine, where default encoding is fr_FR.UTF-8, and 9.3-RELEASE where encoding is fr_FR.ISO8859-15. Everything is fine. Sometimes encoding can cause crash (on my 9.3-RELEASE machine, xfce4-screenshooter-plugin is broken). --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-xfce@freebsd.org Tue Sep 13 07:56:04 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-xfce@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 91404BD114A for ; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 07:56:04 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (unknown [127.0.1.3]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7B442D8 for ; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 07:56:04 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 7AA9EBD1149; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 07:56:04 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: xfce@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7A561BD1148 for ; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 07:56:04 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 6A4C9D7 for ; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 07:56:04 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u8D7u4lh058649 for ; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 07:56:04 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: xfce@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 212176] x11/xfce4-taskmanager segfault Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2016 07:56:04 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: bsd@abinet.ru X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: xfce@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback? Attached patch resolves the issue, however crash still can occur if p >=3D = text, however as p is substring of text, the situation is expected to never happe= n in normal conditions. I found no safe analog in gtk functions for strlcpy, only strncpy which is = not considered safe. The alternative is switch to icu, however this is another story. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-xfce@freebsd.org Fri Sep 16 07:15:33 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-xfce@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7B8FABDC635 for ; Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from portscout@FreeBSD.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 68FDD2E2 for ; Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from portscout@FreeBSD.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 686CCBDC634; Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: xfce@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 68226BDC633 for ; Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from portscout@FreeBSD.org) Received: from portscout.freebsd.org (portscout.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:6]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 5BCE72E1 for ; Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from portscout@FreeBSD.org) Received: from portscout.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.123]) by portscout.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u8G7FXBa024891 for ; Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 GMT (envelope-from portscout@FreeBSD.org) Received: (from portscout@localhost) by portscout.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id u8G7FXe2024890; Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 GMT (envelope-from portscout@FreeBSD.org) Message-Id: <201609160715.u8G7FXe2024890@portscout.freebsd.org> X-Authentication-Warning: portscout.freebsd.org: portscout set sender to portscout@FreeBSD.org using -f Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content-Type: text/plain MIME-Version: 1.0 Date: Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 +0000 From: portscout@FreeBSD.org To: xfce@freebsd.org Subject: FreeBSD ports you maintain which are out of date X-Mailer: portscout/0.8.1 X-BeenThere: freebsd-xfce@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: XFCE for FreeBSD -- porting and maintaining List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 16 Sep 2016 07:15:33 -0000 Dear port maintainer, The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your ports appears to be out of date.
