Since, I'm unable to run OpenGL related applications as a vanilla user. Before, I was running ports close to branches/2016Q1 I have a Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 (x11/nvidia-driver-304, i.e., nvidia-driver-304-304.134). As root, glxgears runs fine. As a normal user: % glxgears X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) Major opcode of failed request: 153 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext) Value in failed request: 0x0 Serial number of failed request: 30 Current serial number in output stream: 31 I thought about the video group, but I don't have a video group and I just have /dev/nvidia0 and /dev/nvidiactl, no /dev/dri and such. Do I have to create the video group and change the group for /dev/nvidia* (currently, it's wheel)? Hello. Thanks for your work. I'm willing to test this, since I'm experiencing frequent X lock ups on an Intel-based laptop. I had never built these ports with poudriere before and they build manually, so I'm not saying these patches are the culprit... I'm just quite new to poudriere and looking for hints. With the -video-intel, my system would reliably freeze up upon any operation seeming to involve lots of screen updates, such as window resizing and video. With modesetting these issues are gone. My system now runs reliably without image corruption, freezes, or panics. Suspend and resume are also working. The only two things that are missing are backlight control and GLX. The error is (II) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI2 capable (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering So I suspect I made a mistake somewhere in building the ports and need to redo this. Now, I am trying to keep the system up to date using llvm40. /usr/ports/graphics/libGL/Makefile.common contains the line: MESA_LLVM_VER=3D39 This forces a portupgrade of libglapi to install llvm39 for the recent upda= te. libglapi and libGL compile and install with llvm40 if I change MESA_LLVM_VE= R. I think libGL should work with either port, and llvm41 once it exists, etc. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-x11@freebsd.org Sat Feb 11 22:03:42 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-x11@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1D3E0CDB5DF for ; Sat, 11 Feb 2017 22:03:42 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id F06EFE02 for ; Sat, 11 Feb 2017 22:03:41 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id EF782CDB5DE; Sat, 11 Feb 2017 22:03:41 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: x11@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EEBA7CDB5DD for ; Sat, 11 Feb 2017 22:03:41 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id D8027DFC for ; Sat, 11 Feb 2017 22:03:41 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id v1BM3fTb098184 for ; Sat, 11 Feb 2017 22:03:41 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: x11@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 217004] graphics/dri: Build breaks with "-ivybridge" Date: Sat, 11 Feb 2017 22:03:42 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: oleg.nauman@gmail.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: x11@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback?
