Tried safe mode same occurrence. CDROM is via a USB, so that's a no go and I've not had luck booting UEFI iSCSI nor PXE yet, so I'm stuck without a keyboard (no PS/2 connectors) or essentially any boot media. For reference Xen 7.2 is running fine so at first blush it's not faulty hardware. USB3 mode on and off (ie force USB2) in the BIOS makes no difference. All Firmwares current. Any suggestions on how to move forward with this? I tried turning on verbose mode, but I'm not sure how to capture that nor where to look. Hi, If your device is FULL speed, you cannot connect it via an external HUB for more than 2 channels, recording and playback simultaneously. There is a capacity issue (except when using XHCI) and it will cause clipping. Can you send the full output from usbconfig? --HPS From owner-freebsd-usb@freebsd.org Sat Feb 10 20:20:49 2018 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-usb@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2C20CF1B025 for ; Sat, 10 Feb 2018 20:20:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id BB3CF70BD2 for ; Sat, 10 Feb 2018 20:20:48 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 0C8FC2C530 for ; Sat, 10 Feb 2018 20:20:48 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id w1AKKl70046354 for ; Sat, 10 Feb 2018 20:20:47 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id w1AKKl1o046353 for freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org; Sat, 10 Feb 2018 20:20:47 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 225810] [uftdi] [patch] kernel/usb/uftdi patch to recognize a TIAO USB Multi Protocol Adapter (TUMPA) Date: Sat, 10 Feb 2018 20:20:47 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: new X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: usb X-Bugzilla-Version: 11.1-STABLE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: patch X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: heathn@gmail.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: bug_id short_desc product version rep_platform op_sys bug_status keywords bug_severity priority component assigned_to reporter attachments.created Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-usb@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.25 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD support for USB List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 10 Feb 2018 20:20:49 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D225810 Bug ID: 225810 Summary: [uftdi] [patch] kernel/usb/uftdi patch to recognize a TIAO USB Multi Protocol Adapter (TUMPA) Product: Base System Version: 11.1-STABLE Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Keywords: patch Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: usb Assignee: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org Reporter: heathn@gmail.com Keywords: patch Created attachment 190489 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D190489&action= =3Dedit Patch adding the product id to uftdi driver This patch add support for the TIAO USB Multi Protocol Adapter (TUMPA) (http://www.tiaowiki.com/w/TIAO_USB_Multi_Protocol_Adapter_User%27s_Manual) using a FT2232H chip.
