They spot a deer, and take aim. The physicist shoots first and misses 10 meters to the right. The mathematician shoots next and misses 10 meters to the left. The statistician then throws down his gun and proclaims, “we got it!” I hope this little “smart” joke made you smile and I’d hear back from you :) It would be awesome to see our guide - mastersindatascience.org/careers/data-scientist/ - featured on your resource page – http://www.math.nsc.ru/AP/ScientificDiscovery/pages/Links.html. Thank you for the opportunity to ask – this was my last follow-up. We, on our end, put together a really comprehensive resource about Data Science as a career choice. It has already been featured by South Eastern, Purdue, Amstat and a good few others - it is useful for students and others looking for a career in this field. It has some first-hand insights (like an interview from a real data scientist working in Airbnb) and useful data (e.g. average salary, qualification etc). If this sounds valuable for your community, here it is for your consideration: - mastersindatascience.org/careers/data-scientist/ We put some real effort into this and hearing back from you would make this Friday really nice. P.S. I will follow-up one last time...but if you didn't like my pitch, please free to reply with "not interested". Please note that the slush will not apply to /htdocs documents. As usual, this is not a real freeze and requires no formal commit approval procedure for your commit, but you are kindly requested not to commit large, structural changes during that period. You can actually link to the specific heading: https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=jemalloc#EXAMPLES When you click on EXAMPLES it takes you to the end of the page where all sections are listed. And clicking on a section there brings you back to that section in the manpage. I agree that the current behaviour is confusing. IMHO it would be better to use the usual pilcrow (¶) permalink next to the section header text as seen in many other online documentation. However, the parameters "nhops" and "nprobes" are called differently in their respective options to change them. "nprobes" is changed using the option "-q" which names the parameter "nquer= ies" instead of "nprobes" and "-m" specifies the parameter as "max_ttl" instead = of "nhops". I'll change the date back to the original date. I was not aware of the policy but igor(1) complained about the date not being today's date so I modified it. 2. The original had a contraction so I kept that, only changed plurar to singular. But I will modify it to "do not" as I believe that to be more cor= rect than "will not" but I am not a native English speaker so I might be incorre= ct. 3. I do not understand what you mean here. I added a few articles (`the', `= a', `an') and tried to get the width of the lines max 72 characters and startin= g a new line after a period. Are you referring to the output (in the man page)? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-doc@freebsd.org Fri May 3 16:10:58 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E1FFF1594687 for ;
