There's no way to filter the list server-side. However, currently FreeBSD's fusefs driver sends a namespace string with the FUSE_LISTXATTR request. That behavior was probably copied from fuse_vnop_getextattr, which has an attribute name argument. It's been there ever since extended attribute support was added in r324620. Th= is commit removes it. That's true even though in FUSE's case the kernel doesn't provide space to the client at all; it simply requests a maximum size for the list. We previously weren't handling t= he case where the server returns ERANGE even though the kernel requested as much size as the server had told us it needs; that can happen due to a race. * We also need to ensure that a pathological server that always returns ERANGE no matter what size we request in FUSE_LISTXATTR won't cause an infinite loop in the kernel. As of this commit, it will instead cause = an infinite loop that exits and enters the kernel on each iteration, allow= ing signals to be processed. In both cases, if only ds1 was already present, then it would be first replaced with ds2 and then ds2 would be replaced back with ds1. Also, both cases did not properly handle a situation where both ds1 and ds2 are already queued. A duplicate insertion would be attempted and its failure would result in a panic. I have chosen to create a mirror, used the default GPT partition type, and enabled GELI encryption. I set a passphrase for GELI. sysinstall completed normally. Upon booting, I see: GELI Passphrase for disk0p3: (entered via keyboard) Calculating GELI Decryption Key for disk0p3: xxx iterations... Calculating GELI Decryption Key for disk1p3: yyy iterations... Failed to read pad2 area of primary vdev Can't find /boot/loader ... I have repeated this install *without* any GELI encryption and the system boots and operates as expected. What am I seeing here ? Thanks. I am not sure why there are some many requirements and requests to sef at *this* stage. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-fs@freebsd.org Fri Sep 20 19:25:31 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-fs@mailman.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4E8A912505E for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:31 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (mailman.nyi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::50:13]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 46ZkFl1JZHz4WPZ for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:31 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 2AEFD12505D; Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:31 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: fs@mailman.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2AB4912505C for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:31 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org (mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 46ZkFl0H71z4WPX for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:31 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::50:1d]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id E17742613 for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:30 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.5]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x8KJPUrs000301 for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:30 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x8KJPUNM000300 for fs@FreeBSD.org; Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:30 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: fs@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 240640] zfs send -n -P -i is broken after r344601 Date: Fri, 20 Sep 2019 19:25:30 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: bin X-Bugzilla-Version: 12.0-RELEASE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: regression X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: gjb@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: sef@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: mfc-stable12?
