Did you connect the correct pins? Did you upgrade the BIOS to the latest version. I will assemble the system tonight and report back if you want to know how it runs under FreeBSD 12.1. I ended up getting an SMC A2SDi-4C-HLN4F, which fits my needs well enough. I ran into a bit of an issue when I put it together last night - my previous system was booting with legacy BIOS interfaces, but the new board defaulted to UEFI. That thought didn't occur to me until I was driving to work this morning, so I'll have to try changing that setting when I get home tonight. Thanks for the offer, and enjoy the new system! :-) -Ravi (rpokala@) From owner-freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org Wed Nov 20 10:42:14 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-hardware@mailman.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A10881B2338 for ; Wed, 20 Nov 2019 10:42:14 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from Axel.Rau@Chaos1.DE) Received: from mailout4.lrau.net (mailout4.lrau.net [IPv6:2a05:bec0:26:2::73]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (2048 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mailout4.lrau.net", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 47Hzln5KgQz4dLy for ; Wed, 20 Nov 2019 10:42:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from Axel.Rau@Chaos1.DE) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; q=dns/txt; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=chaos1.de; s=email1; h=References:To:Cc:In-Reply-To:Date:Subject:Mime-Version: Content-Type:Message-Id:From:Sender:Reply-To:Content-Transfer-Encoding: Content-ID:Content-Description:Resent-Date:Resent-From:Resent-Sender: Resent-To:Resent-Cc:Resent-Message-ID:List-Id:List-Help:List-Unsubscribe: List-Subscribe:List-Post:List-Owner:List-Archive; bh=GCWF/aqW3upLUutxTygi5enZkCdluFQdHToaU+n9NfQ=; b=El/OXZLkMvUbLLosSrUMBosYYl nYy9i6y6bKSp5MkrFSAM2txdYTnV3hNNRsKl2ElyIR7zxDsJhd3ZAWHR5I7z/UWKu9xehABLkLpuB LTzrPIfScNa/x1opkJQzyVv2jNvdHieUJvVnxtuiyJ5dK7MnKP1gblN09OKLxhY7qiIV/3+FK/VF9 5wBbkDHj8ugNkkhyge+jHDiqouKfWVu+wbx1nM7F0r8j04DB73xiEeQd+dAdJ4MDgdcgSioJ5dDxN jQ8ZqBKUI73ZcbuHyEQjb8dnhZ0Wt3QgwqGdDSs6I1hdHpIYuLk7WdkGPZG19S4NAhg2EsADrZRmN aV3fsfhg==; Received: from [91.216.35.74] (helo=imap.lrau.net) by mailout4.lrau.net with esmtp (Exim 4.92.3 (FreeBSD)) (envelope-from ) id 1iXNR6-000FmU-DB; Wed, 20 Nov 2019 10:42:12 +0000 Received: from Axel.Rau@Chaos1.DE by imap.lrau.net (Archiveopteryx 3.2.0) with esmtpsa id 1574246531-18022-18013/7/16; Wed, 20 Nov 2019 10:42:11 +0000 From: Axel Rau Message-Id: <845EC330-4204-44F3-AC53-32FE6EE71C28@Chaos1.DE> Content-Type: multipart/signed; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="Apple-Mail=_0AAD316A-EB39-46A1-BEB4-A74F04FB3B7A"; micalg=pgp-sha256 Mime-Version: 1.0 Subject: Re: Request for Recommendations: media / transcode server Date: Wed, 20 Nov 2019 11:42:04 +0100 In-Reply-To: Cc: freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org To: Jan Bramkamp References: <81A069F0-EB0E-4BDE-BD52-94A70E02F943@Chaos1.DE> X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.3445.104.11) X-Rspamd-Queue-Id: 47Hzln5KgQz4dLy X-Spamd-Bar: ----- Authentication-Results: mx1.freebsd.org; dkim=pass header.d=chaos1.de header.s=email1 header.b=El/OXZLk; dmarc=none; spf=none (mx1.freebsd.org: domain of Axel.Rau@Chaos1.DE has no SPF policy when checking 2a05:bec0:26:2::73) smtp.mailfrom=Axel.Rau@Chaos1.DE X-Spamd-Result: default: False [-5.81 / 15.00]; ARC_NA(0.00)[]; RCVD_VIA_SMTP_AUTH(0.00)[]; R_DKIM_ALLOW(-0.20)[chaos1.de:s=email1]; NEURAL_HAM_MEDIUM(-1.00)[-1.000,0]; FROM_HAS_DN(0.00)[]; TO_DN_SOME(0.00)[]; MV_CASE(0.50)[]; NEURAL_HAM_LONG(-1.00)[-1.000,0]; HAS_ATTACHMENT(0.00)[]; MIME_GOOD(-0.20)[multipart/signed,text/plain]; DMARC_NA(0.00)[chaos1.de]; DWL_DNSWL_LOW(-1.00)[chaos1.de.dwl.dnswl.org : 127.0.3.1]; RCVD_COUNT_THREE(0.00)[3]; TO_MATCH_ENVRCPT_SOME(0.00)[]; DKIM_TRACE(0.00)[chaos1.de:+]; RCPT_COUNT_TWO(0.00)[2]; R_SPF_NA(0.00)[]; SIGNED_PGP(-2.00)[]; FROM_EQ_ENVFROM(0.00)[]; MIME_TRACE(0.00)[0:+,1:+,2:~]; RCVD_TLS_LAST(0.00)[]; ASN(0.00)[asn:197071, ipnet:2a05:bec0::/29, country:DE]; MID_RHS_MATCH_FROM(0.00)[]; IP_SCORE(-0.91)[ipnet: 2a05:bec0::/29(-3.34), asn: 197071(-1.20), country: DE(-0.01)] X-BeenThere: freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: General discussion of FreeBSD hardware List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 20 Nov 2019 10:42:14 -0000 --Apple-Mail=_0AAD316A-EB39-46A1-BEB4-A74F04FB3B7A Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 > Am 19.11.2019 um 18:11 schrieb Jan Bramkamp : >=20 > On 19.11.19 18:07, Axel Rau wrote: >>=20 >>=20 >>> Am 18.11.2019 um 14:15 schrieb Jan Bramkamp >: >>>=20 >>>=20 >>> I will assemble the system tonight and report back if you want to = know how it runs under FreeBSD 12.1. >>=20 >> Did a poudriere rebuild of all packages on my repo with my = X479D4U/3700X.
