Yes.

You should not do this. You should always write data which is modulus "chan=
nels
* sample_size_in_bytes".

View the frag =3D (4 << 16) | 8 as an approximation.

Use:

SNDCTL_DSP_GETBLKSIZE

To get the real blocksize used.
