I don't mean just the disks.= =20 Really the whole point is to have more CPU and RAM. I have the option to do= =20 this via their portal, just select whats required and hit 'resize' but I'm= =20 a bit hesitant. I guess it'll work on a windows VM but anything else? If you did manage to do this, did you need to shut the VM down before=20 resizing it? Was your external IP preserved or did it force you to have=20 another one? Did you have to run anything else, like growfs? The author of https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/azure-vm.62440/ tried to do this in 2017 but wasn't able to at the time. thanks, --=20 J. --d8V8/NqTsVmpEURF Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAABCAAdFiEE8n3tWhxW11Ccvv9/s8o7QhFzNAUFAl/YM/sACgkQs8o7QhFz NAXkxhAAlUkZjhLh44e+6ryLfPeJX4LAc8uaigxTyCAbIHAjdd1+3yGJigF/dKjY hGeWO9q4zWS2mJABQ9Qpr6UF54Ds8dUCYBWqNXJj6v+Ob+kHLHsBTK9q++Gsxo/y iCl4PNDVmXAZv4qvxQ2vB+Ou4jK5SojbukDmohxKzMPN/pwQ28ItB1ddGZ1ttn7L /FQ8N/HUmEkmMXr69zV/vh7QJOdaoKUBV2jDDCN8fuKMX42DBDmLNVdedXesRRAb AuwRc2RtpFKt6mgqzpdGP0FoFXmYQ0z8LDbpD9cR9Vwb3oZttZBWzruOnJOrEFBm gHbGsbugnKRzfQBMxZZgrY5LMGU7Ir0wJhpPE7NG4WvsgF9+73LVAj+4ocKSNdAZ Bhf82F3mcJxaM+pDWwSJj6nkiQSXhXFlxn/YXcr5/trD7lyXY1WaLBVvQ7/jlDrc NLyn03fusUHM/xH7M21Mw6amvQEGXi60bwGltXsjU8rNWAVbsxJ7GYOAn/8/mFE2 9ATjy1CI3M6xUmY+KYY4wvzgSVKtiKpO8V422KsrcO+NVf2QmsajTjElONaGUESc oCZu1jrjjyDpNQT+/Uchwa60K7DMYP9X6LSX4r0zRfvPoNNWkIehctIsfKC6HNzh +OfOsLsYb6l5+n+GcJTJ2+PI4Xv1IZSL10wHE+eroc5hYPe65ug= =OnAQ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --d8V8/NqTsVmpEURF-- From owner-freebsd-virtualization@freebsd.org Tue Dec 15 13:36:41 2020 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-virtualization@mailman.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 74A2D4B698B for ; Tue, 15 Dec 2020 13:36:41 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from SRS0=gZ8T=FT=freebsd.org=grehan@iredmail.onthenet.com.au) Received: from alto.onthenet.com.au (alto.OntheNet.com.au [203.13.68.12]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4CwK6b543Lz3srh for ; Tue, 15 Dec 2020 13:36:38 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from SRS0=gZ8T=FT=freebsd.org=grehan@iredmail.onthenet.com.au) Received: from iredmail.onthenet.com.au (iredmail.onthenet.com.au [203.13.68.150]) by alto.onthenet.com.au (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 5575D2022E32 for ; Tue, 15 Dec 2020 23:36:34 +1000 (AEST) Received: from iredmail.onthenet.com.au (iredmail.onthenet.com.au [127.0.0.1]) by iredmail.onthenet.com.au (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4BB87209C01A for ; Tue, 15 Dec 2020 23:36:34 +1000 (AEST) Received: from iredmail.onthenet.com.au ([127.0.0.1]) by iredmail.onthenet.com.au (iredmail.onthenet.com.au [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10026) with ESMTP id CrGOeRWXqKIa for ; Tue, 15 Dec 2020 23:36:34 +1000 (AEST) Received: from MacBook-Air-4.local (CPE-120-29-43-208.dsl.OntheNet.net [120.29.43.208]) by iredmail.onthenet.com.au (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 26AC0209C019 for ; Tue, 15 Dec 2020 23:36:34 +1000 (AEST) To: "freebsd-virtualization@freebsd.org" From: Peter Grehan Subject: Bhyve office hours Message-ID: <59e741e8-1d20-d42d-f2d0-7110e293b1ab@freebsd.org> Date: Tue, 15 Dec 2020 23:36:32 +1000 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/78.5.1 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed Content-Language: en-US Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-CMAE-Score: 0 X-CMAE-Analysis: v=2.3 cv=d+JuNSrE c=1 sm=1 tr=0 a=A6CF0fG5TOl4vs6YHvqXgw==:117 a=n6YpoTNtWjVINH1dXaJlfg==:17 a=IkcTkHD0fZMA:10 a=zTNgK-yGK50A:10 a=6I5d2MoRAAAA:8 a=bmm022sd8UYhSZV7hHwA:9 a=QEXdDO2ut3YA:10 a=IjZwj45LgO3ly-622nXo:22 X-Rspamd-Queue-Id: 4CwK6b543Lz3srh X-Spamd-Bar: - Authentication-Results: mx1.freebsd.org; dkim=none; dmarc=none; spf=none (mx1.freebsd.org: domain of SRS0=gZ8T=FT=freebsd.org=grehan@iredmail.onthenet.com.au has no SPF policy when checking 203.13.68.12) smtp.mailfrom=SRS0=gZ8T=FT=freebsd.org=grehan@iredmail.onthenet.com.au X-Spamd-Result: default: False [-1.89 / 15.00]; RCVD_VIA_SMTP_AUTH(0.00)[]; RWL_MAILSPIKE_GOOD(0.00)[203.13.68.12:from]; NEURAL_HAM_SHORT(-0.99)[-0.995]; FORGED_SENDER(0.30)[grehan@freebsd.org,SRS0=gZ8T=FT=freebsd.org=grehan@iredmail.onthenet.com.au]; RCVD_IN_DNSWL_LOW(-0.10)[203.13.68.12:from]; RCVD_TLS_LAST(0.00)[]; R_DKIM_NA(0.00)[]; RBL_DBL_DONT_QUERY_IPS(0.00)[203.13.68.12:from]; MIME_TRACE(0.00)[0:+]; FROM_NEQ_ENVFROM(0.00)[grehan@freebsd.org,SRS0=gZ8T=FT=freebsd.org=grehan@iredmail.onthenet.com.au]; ASN(0.00)[asn:9313, ipnet:203.13.68.0/23, country:AU]; MID_RHS_MATCH_FROM(0.00)[]; ARC_NA(0.00)[]; RCVD_COUNT_FIVE(0.00)[5]; NEURAL_HAM_MEDIUM(-1.00)[-1.000]; FROM_HAS_DN(0.00)[]; TO_DOM_EQ_FROM_DOM(0.00)[]; TO_MATCH_ENVRCPT_ALL(0.00)[]; NEURAL_HAM_LONG(-1.00)[-1.000]; MIME_GOOD(-0.10)[text/plain]; PREVIOUSLY_DELIVERED(0.00)[freebsd-virtualization@freebsd.org]; AUTH_NA(1.00)[]; RCPT_COUNT_ONE(0.00)[1]; SPAMHAUS_ZRD(0.00)[203.13.68.12:from:127.0.2.255]; DMARC_NA(0.00)[freebsd.org]; TO_DN_EQ_ADDR_ALL(0.00)[]; R_SPF_NA(0.00)[no SPF record]; MAILMAN_DEST(0.00)[freebsd-virtualization] X-BeenThere: freebsd-virtualization@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.34 Precedence: list List-Id: "Discussion of various virtualization techniques FreeBSD supports."
