I do not know if they would = actually > do such package-base removals. All that sounds good. Stuff going away, coming in, that's all OK. My use case: to know what ABI to check for. This isn't necessarily that = it will find it... but that FreshPorts knows that FreeBSD:15:* is now = being built. Or that FreeBSD:11:* is no longer a thing, for example. I do not see FreeBSD:15:powerpc64le showing on on FreshPorts yet. But https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:15:powerpc64le/latest/ is populated with data from 2023-Nov-29 (as shown in my web browser) and the above list shows FreeBSD:15:powerpc64le . FreeBSD:14:powerpc64le and FreeBSD:13:powerpc64le are similar but the more up to date data are in (2023-Dec dates): https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:14:powerpc64le/quarterly/ and: https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:13:powerpc64le/quarterly/ ( as documented on https://pkg.freebsd.org/ ). FreeBSD:14:powerpc and FreeBSD:13:powerpc (32-bit powerpc) are similar but the more up to date data are in (2023-Dec and 2023-Nov dates): https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:14:powerpc/quarterly/ and: https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:13:powerpc/quarterly/ ( as documented on https://pkg.freebsd.org/ ). By contrast, FreeBSD:15:powerpc has no data in: https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:15:powerpc/latest/ so its not showing may be as expected. (Not documented on https://pkg.freebsd.org/ as being empty.) The various FreeBSD:*:mips64 still show up (version numbers being "-") but are not in the list above. There are also FreeBSD:12:mips , FreeBSD:13:mips , and FreeBSD:14:mips (32-bit mips) showing (version numbers being "-"). (No 32 bit mips shown for FreeBSD:15:* .) I also see odd popup status results for some cells with version numbers showing. Take, for example, devel/llvm17: FreeBSD:15:powerpc64 two "17.0.1" entries have popups that report: QUOTE repo not found never imported 2023-12-1-0 23:00 - last checked by FreshPorts END QUOTE I'd expect that sort of thing for the version number being just "-" but there is a version number showing. I'm not sure if some of this might be expected or not. >>>=20 >>> There might be issues at times with = https://pkg.freebsd.org/index.html not >>> being in sync. It should be here by about 0105 today: freshports.org=> insert into abi (name) values ('FreeBSD:15:powerpc64le'); INSERT 0 1 FYI, I have not implemented this script[1] because I've been preoccupied by ports which get their versions from Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk : so far, lang/go has been implemented. 1 - https://github.com/FreshPorts/freshports/issues/508 2 - https://github.com/FreshPorts/freshports/issues/509 > FreeBSD:14:powerpc64le and FreeBSD:13:powerpc64le are similar but > the more up to date data are in (2023-Dec dates): > https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:14:powerpc64le/quarterly/ > and: > https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:13:powerpc64le/quarterly/ > ( as documented on https://pkg.freebsd.org/ ). Using https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/?all=3D1&type=3Dpackage and searching for mips reports that the most recent build was: quarterly for 130releng-mips64 Sat, 23 Jul 2022 01:41:13 GMT. (But nothing built.) The most recent that actually built something: main-mips64 Thu, 27 Jan 2022 02:30:02 GMT As far as 32-bit mips goes, the most recent is: quarterly 121mips Thu, 31 Dec 2020 01:03:30 GMT It did build something. So, none of the FreeBSD:*:mips* variants are likely needed for FreshPorts any more. As a separate note: https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/?all=3D1&type=3Dpackage= does not cover any modern powerpc, powerpc64, or powerpc64le build. They are using some other process that is not exposed (as far as I = know). So, for the various powerpc* I can only look in the various examples of the patterns: https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:*:powerpc*/quarterly/ = https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:*:powerpc*/latest/ linked to at https://pkg.freebsd.org/ and see what dates (if any) show up. That is how I found the fairly recent dates that I reported. =3D=3D=3D Mark Millard marklmi at yahoo.com From nobody Mon Dec 11 22:49:25 2023 X-Original-To: freebsd-hackers@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4Spxkw3FCxz54CH5 for ; Then I tried to test it with linux, and to my surprise it took literally less than 1 second to resume I have a theory that its due to drm-kmod , as the screen if lit up and frozen where input from keyboard is appearing as after a while lets say I did resume and pressed the letter K every second I will get on screen 4 Ks out of 10 but they appear at once on the press of 10th K that means the input was not working and the screen did not show input after it was pressed any idea how to get around this issue? I would like to remind you that reports are published on a quarterly basis and are usually collected during the last month of each quarter, You are also welcome to submit them even earlier if you want, and the earlier you submit them, the more time we have for reviewing. Status report submissions do not need to be very long. They may be about anything happening in the FreeBSD project and community, and they provide a great way to inform FreeBSD users and developers about work that is underway or has been completed. Report submissions are not limited to committers; anyone doing anything interesting and FreeBSD related can -- and should -- write one! The following methods are available to submit your reports: * submit a review on Phabricator and add the group "status" to the reviewers list. You should put your reports in the directory doc/website/content/en/status/report-2023-10-2023-12/ (create it if it is missing); * submit a pull request at . You should put your reports in the directory doc/website/content/en/status/report-2023-10-2023-12/ (create it if it is missing); * send an email to status-submissions@FreeBSD.org including your report. An AsciiDoc template is available at . We look forward to seeing your 2023Q4 reports! Thanks, Lorenzo Salvadore (on behalf of status@)
