We investigated options for meeting in person, but our survey of developers indicated that more people were able to attend a virtual summit than an in-person summit. Similar to the developer summit this past June, the vendor summit will be held online (likely in a Zoom webinar) with a hallway track on SpatialChat. We will also be using a similar schedule to June consisting of half-days with generous (30 minute) breaks between talks. If you would like to give a talk at the vendor summit, please submit a brief description of your proposed talk to devsummit@FreeBSD.org. Talks should generally be 30 to 40 minutes in length. If you need more or less time, please include that detail in your proposal. Please send in your proposals by October 7, 2022. More details (including the schedule once it is finalized) can be found on the wiki page: https://wiki.freebsd.org/DevSummit/202211 The vendor summit is free and open to both developers and guests. To join the webinar and SpatialChat, attendees must register for the summit via EventBrite using the link below (also on the wiki page): https://www.eventbrite.com/e/november-2022-freebsd-vendor-summit-tickets-406954340387 If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the organizers via devsummit@FreeBSD.org. -- John Baldwin From nobody Fri Feb 10 21:46:48 2023 X-Original-To: vendors@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4PD6kx6kJWz3myNr for ; Fri, 10 Feb 2023 21:46:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) Received: from smtp.freebsd.org (smtp.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::24b:4]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "smtp.freebsd.org", Issuer "R3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4PD6kx64vSz41Fv for ; Fri, 10 Feb 2023 21:46:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1676065609; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding; bh=63ZOM+HjrmhWatswL6JnEN/DGq+24SxoXEP1tHAKrLo=; b=RiNC9H7x/kA8f+nGz8IGmkXO6CC6PSVgx98siMcW3xSykfSNSGF5T1fF85Fmsy39b/LCQv J++faGyGRPhd3qLtGD/Ruuk58Jwe0L6ILZQZVZVyr1o9RQTzCu5H2o5l/yHQs/pQ63gqcc fKSBgpR3wl+rcscOW1R3jmu2QFnXYKjrQDL2HWokO4BMGeVj8x78JGGpJyxdO98okh8gqQ 9LquW0t1g/Nlw81erW6C1lltAFZ453AjM6cxr9SFi5N2kCTwdly8txwTLgbOTZRhvylLNp Cq9znEC4AFSxKipgEr96y1wKI0UpvsCqZ/W7X4LncN1ggaDYJA5IEYHYSh0EOQ== ARC-Message-Signature: i=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1676065609; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding; bh=63ZOM+HjrmhWatswL6JnEN/DGq+24SxoXEP1tHAKrLo=; b=C4ER2kJSk9x7dWd7BfK2oYfpjZ1CY32x1XxJ+o8sF2hy3rEjzP5thpz76HDO1IcSZAwKnt NHwD2BFIIKyYej9k3DV9zvGTh5nqixsmzsiO0yy6C0mLX21OdfAJqyt5gv6ZzzpwXRK1oz hR5YgFqhevKNUQfPVVkcaM44o4f+9+q71u+VMkeVxvBXrevIxdPP55k4bYRbJng+kYdi2h Ojq83S2waH8Q3nPZIvP8dpmrq/sA4C0eCpWgV1qU6EjTkZ2UrESeUo2ccZatqOmEb4sCtM l59rAOB9pWkPNwCE/g53Te2RKPMEQ4Xui7lU2nnT9U/9WMbajJ0S4MF+y+aAbw== ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx1.freebsd.org; none ARC-Seal: i=1; s=dkim; d=freebsd.org; t=1676065609; a=rsa-sha256; cv=none; b=lWMy0JNwsbsqHjmnfYTB+C2GWwscYfeK6JTdv0pqZ7L8v1s46puQ0hvb6r1O5zYtGJPkNs 9YVYPypC+kKg1IcGU5h8W7ApZFqge0dq6TLLPYeyjElR5VxU+G+STzryOdGCvChuNaJzzM vcQN8ZdUXLpxUls/iL2MubDFUvor5D/eZldfhvU3UG+rTX4UztTElUh948a7JmGo6r80mg HBtJKMOkw98mHQA5eVPvtHC7HSbstahN6MWZMgA3EWM7Kr72pEPJ7g+GD/zJ6OfjETMvzI LJuhe60N77DH4RfKAiqnuyZ07HNNJ+gTfuXIw0JIlxrYooq4pFwumpmBF9oe8w== Received: from [IPV6:2601:642:4c00:42e2:9081:dc09:a77c:b051] (unknown [IPv6:2601:642:4c00:42e2:9081:dc09:a77c:b051]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 (128/128 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) (Authenticated sender: jhb) by smtp.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 4PD6kx3nchz10PS for ; Fri, 10 Feb 2023 21:46:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) Message-ID: <7c3b7d8a-2cf8-1a40-60ef-5f900cd37383@FreeBSD.org> Date: Fri, 10 Feb 2023 13:46:48 -0800 List-Id: Vendors who use FreeBSD in their products List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/vendors List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-vendors@freebsd.org X-BeenThere: vendors@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/102.7.2 From: John Baldwin Subject: FreeBSD Developers Summit at BSDCan 2023 Content-Language: en-US To: vendors@FreeBSD.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-ThisMailContainsUnwantedMimeParts: N We are happy to announce that there will be an in-person developers' summit at BSDCan 2023. As with previous summits at BSDCan we are planning for a two day summit overlapping with BSDCan's tutorial days on Wednesday, May 17th and Thursday, May 18th. Similar to previous years, each day will consist of presentations in the morning and working group sessions in the afternoon. Working groups should contain a small number of people (<= 30) focused on a particular topic whose output is a specific plan. Topics should be narrow in focus as broad topics result in a large group that rarely produces concise, usable output. Each working group will need a chairperson to drive the group and will have a dedicated room with A/V equipment, tables, chairs, etc. A group can either meet for a single session (roughly 1.5-2 hours) or for two sessions (3-4 hours total). Some possible working group topics include: - Bug Busting and Triage - Network Performance - FreeBSD on Laptops (Graphics / Wireless) - Fault Management - NVMe over Fabrics - Development Tools (lldb, valgrind) - Pre-commit Testing and CI - Hibernation - Designing a Power Management Framework - Packaged Base We are now looking for proposals for working groups. Each proposal must include the following: - A chairperson who will be responsible for making this group work. A chair may delegate work to other folks, but one person should have the final say rather than a committee. - A single paragraph abstract giving a brief overview of what the working group session will cover and what goals you wish to achieve. - A possible guest list to identify individuals known to be interested and working on the topic. The proposal should also include a list of individuals that you feel must be present for the group to be a success. - An agenda with specific topics that the session will cover. In addition, each working group chairperson will be responsible for recruiting one or more scribes (note takers) to be present during the group and for using these notes to generate a written summary of the group that will be published on hackers@ after the summit is completed. These proposals should be sent to devsummit@FreeBSD.org by March 15, 2023. Getting proposals in earlier would be ideal. We are also looking for proposals for a small number of presentations. Presentations normally run about 45 minutes leaving additional time for any Q&A. Talk proposals should include a title, speaker, and brief abstract and be sent to devsummit@FreeBSD.org. Those of us fortunate enough to attend EuroBSDCon in Vienna this fall certainly enjoyed the opportunity to meet together again. We are looking forward to seeing many of you this May. -- John Baldwin From nobody Sun Feb 26 23:21:41 2023 X-Original-To: vendors@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4PQ05G14gBz3vCBD for ; Sun, 26 Feb 2023 23:21:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from hosneybinosman@gmail.com) Received: from mail-yw1-x1136.google.com (mail-yw1-x1136.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:4864:20::1136]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 (128/128 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (2048 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "GTS CA 1D4" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4PQ05F1z77z4cZ4 for ; Sun, 26 Feb 2023 23:21:53 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from hosneybinosman@gmail.com) Authentication-Results: mx1.freebsd.org; dkim=pass header.d=gmail.com header.s=20210112 header.b="hQmw/5Dx"; spf=pass (mx1.freebsd.org: domain of hosneybinosman@gmail.com designates 2607:f8b0:4864:20::1136 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom=hosneybinosman@gmail.com; dmarc=pass (policy=none) header.from=gmail.com Received: by mail-yw1-x1136.google.com with SMTP id 00721157ae682-53852143afcso131265817b3.3 for ; Sun, 26 Feb 2023 15:21:53 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20210112; h=to:subject:message-id:date:from:mime-version:from:to:cc:subject :date:message-id:reply-to; bh=8zzwpsTS7YAsIb2wglVjVpNgCRH0M5xwCwJg3LGjHWQ=; b=hQmw/5DxIkTIsND8P/NtC9OUpe/+/0Bg0xTrmdENcskbuo7UCtJ7zvyu4GYyfwirlT GnWrvsuPd8JevCRzg0iEmrt+DgEHZnGQgIBtbojQFgg0aukcSv+sMsimKxwI3j9g0Se9 65Of2xQro4q9FihVEooIULZJ3Bc8xleVTDW+2auYwkBk+qAgsSacokl5iRqEcLalEvo7 DZZPRrVv6Z1o1N6m0i8Y71ro544iRRv0X/O9oyZGYXeQpdOzLAA7M5Ny6WYrMZmXNKj0 kVSJjJSX47S3Nys6RnX03eblW6xO6D/hDteaJKWgCS9XBSq+t/VrPqHNUmsjzBJkZzV8 Kg0Q== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20210112; h=to:subject:message-id:date:from:mime-version:x-gm-message-state :from:to:cc:subject:date:message-id:reply-to; bh=8zzwpsTS7YAsIb2wglVjVpNgCRH0M5xwCwJg3LGjHWQ=; b=HcNvPl1ZXraf6Jdci9RZsmqZ6tXdkzA8O78v7V5kufCRzweLYE/AIyS3UrelxBivTF Di4iykMqH/t9b8c9xSz2t8aoQ/GIAJbydQsvEmn9oNT6N9jYV4g9asF525zOoYi/ZriA AyXZbsuSnM3vYYY9wvDgruRPGDi8qTdTGZQjkVYwR8gp7tE5UJyg8JEbQcoaYQr7mweN r78e3Y0xL0VOBWNfAauwxQPDnM6YMjLrRKEme8hGP8USPl1dAkj0q8pUYVp0SWk4UsgI gvdPrqHxeemggsouWZDgqcbLWPiLKNuzNqQwGOj4VFgLrWCoOxWlGiyZpWx12PTwcTEB gDtg== X-Gm-Message-State: AO0yUKVWIr7pVc/Dit1/cfDtdmBrl0Kp5D/5vz9fkTXwWaq309zgqKrK IQHkPtVUnJ0+J3oEGRsfnVGdL12oKqfJ6eqcr7ATPg37 X-Google-Smtp-Source: AK7set9/IHrY7pmEfiGHMfp6xjq3CxtdGWl5T6EYratEZ+LSwubx2IlqCJQ1qIrWVXIIFDkYf+8fU4zevVCSrWN5SBY= X-Received: by 2002:a5b:28c:0:b0:a8a:a652:2a69 with SMTP id x12-20020a5b028c000000b00a8aa6522a69mr480779ybl.10.1677453712083; Sun, 26 Feb 2023 15:21:52 -0800 (PST) List-Id: Vendors who use FreeBSD in their products List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/vendors List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-vendors@freebsd.org X-BeenThere: vendors@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 From: Hosney Osman Date: Mon, 27 Feb 2023 01:21:41 +0200 Message-ID: Subject: need to participate in vendor activity To: vendors@freebsd.org Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="000000000000a2ce8905f5a2a0b4" X-Spamd-Result: default: False [-2.07 / 15.00]; NEURAL_HAM_MEDIUM(-1.00)[-1.000]; NEURAL_HAM_LONG(-1.00)[-1.000]; NEURAL_SPAM_SHORT(0.93)[0.934]; DMARC_POLICY_ALLOW(-0.50)[gmail.com,none]; R_SPF_ALLOW(-0.20)[+ip6:2607:f8b0:4000::/36]; R_DKIM_ALLOW(-0.20)[gmail.com:s=20210112]; MIME_GOOD(-0.10)[multipart/alternative,text/plain]; RCVD_IN_DNSWL_NONE(0.00)[2607:f8b0:4864:20::1136:from]; MLMMJ_DEST(0.00)[vendors@freebsd.org]; RCVD_TLS_LAST(0.00)[]; MIME_TRACE(0.00)[0:+,1:+,2:~]; FROM_EQ_ENVFROM(0.00)[]; ASN(0.00)[asn:15169, ipnet:2607:f8b0::/32, country:US]; FREEMAIL_ENVFROM(0.00)[gmail.com]; DKIM_TRACE(0.00)[gmail.com:+]; MID_RHS_MATCH_FROMTLD(0.00)[]; RCPT_COUNT_ONE(0.00)[1]; FROM_HAS_DN(0.00)[]; ARC_NA(0.00)[]; RCVD_COUNT_TWO(0.00)[2]; FREEMAIL_FROM(0.00)[gmail.com]; PREVIOUSLY_DELIVERED(0.00)[vendors@freebsd.org]; TO_MATCH_ENVRCPT_ALL(0.00)[]; TO_DN_NONE(0.00)[]; DWL_DNSWL_NONE(0.00)[gmail.com:dkim] X-Rspamd-Queue-Id: 4PQ05F1z77z4cZ4 X-Spamd-Bar: -- X-ThisMailContainsUnwantedMimeParts: N --000000000000a2ce8905f5a2a0b4 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Hello, i want to participate at vendor activity for Freebsd community how i can start --000000000000a2ce8905f5a2a0b4 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8"

For the past 10 years or so, I have been a member of the FreeBSD Release Engineering Team, as well as being a member of various administrative teams within the Project. I should first state that I do not like writing these types of emails, but considering what is to follow, you may understand why I decided to. The short version is: I am looking for interested parties or consumers of FreeBSD to help me continue working on FreeBSD full-time. In a perfect world, I would ideally find a few companies to donate X amount per month on a recurring basis. In any case, I have set up a GoFundMe fundraiser for this purpose at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/gjbbsd The longer version is something I do not exactly enjoy discussing, because it involves health-related issues and, subsequently, fallout =66rom such issues following hospitalization. I will however explain more on request if it is necessary. Thank you very much for any consideration on the above, as I hope to continue working on FreeBSD in the same capacity as I have been able to for the past decade. The summit will be held on the NetApp campus. The summit will feature a single track of talks on both days. We intend to stream the summit on the project’s YouTube channel. We will provide more details on the schedule and travel information in the future, but we are looking for talk proposals now. Talks should be technical in nature and aim for 30-35 minutes in length with an additional 10-15 minutes available for Q&A and will be given in person. Proposals for talks should include a brief abstract of the topic as well as a brief bio of the speaker(s). If you need more or less time, please include that detail in your proposal. Please submit talk proposals to devsummit@FreeBSD.org by September 26, 2023. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the organizers via devsummit@FreeBSD.org. -- John Baldwin From nobody Tue Oct 17 17:56:15 2023 X-Original-To: vendors@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4S91r05DHsz4xp66 for ; Tue, 17 Oct 2023 17:56:16 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) Received: from smtp.freebsd.org (smtp.freebsd.org [96.47.72.83]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "smtp.freebsd.org", Issuer "R3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4S91r04pJzz4d3H for ; Tue, 17 Oct 2023 17:56:16 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1697565376; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding; bh=L2gxeaRr910PU5mZtMv9nZviGmp4lgpvSqT0/+RM8Dc=; b=QTopGsnPgvM08g7AVMjfYeex7Wr1R8i8I1Q7D6dvlDIMRPY/RmWe0Pv84I9Am5KpDZ+sL8 hfVYfKdYboYC/PcXzCxYBJNQpbPlGT+Ie2MZlLcv1Z+Xhxl3G3cHG7TipA1gFA3gOVXIjD kpjUCWH6SsYbAiciDbl9NxZiS+81KSYTxpUMb+irP8Zic0zdc6x4K7orv3Goo7ndsfOvIV Ycconqi3HJ7NU93+SVHsSh2yaIb5DWjpp56qhrhTGSw67Br+q9Lrx3zcsB01nc/EB8K4h0 wGGyWCLcJHmvhq9hsjPHiAnGbcyogGAHAYf/2mDuSqMzZsYmkSrUl3/DfVUMwA== ARC-Seal: i=1; s=dkim; d=freebsd.org; t=1697565376; a=rsa-sha256; cv=none; b=JXggBr1v3oB+Ip7nd2ePlXbK9qXNBYDyLzzgbMs9RDCQYDfQfYkmibA1RPbMO/IeA8uQpX xEw+DkMs4/yGqbf2Q5bTM1paqRgFSAkZUAhPxIRK9vc0cex8TKtS2JnqJqOLSkkFBqi0ZK HGCFYOYLWhqvFLYEYdrLcxv2uj6ucFQ1orKnvSaTscsGHV8OXI2fktzfplfkFjPxCSJ0c2 NNMuacRBH9ba/mAoGLRUb2ktK7iFN0KqAP8sKS2AIJGahUWd0IHIBNCX6NBTDJkCbCGEa9 ilp8dmX2yirGs8QnB8Hr2LuIm6aMlN+6lpb69icDCHXoUtcdwQralJgnmrglkg== ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx1.freebsd.org; none ARC-Message-Signature: i=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1697565376; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding; bh=L2gxeaRr910PU5mZtMv9nZviGmp4lgpvSqT0/+RM8Dc=; b=kRKYk6bLFZXr7fAEDPsLRWQ19cdMl2zH9iG6S8L1rroW5TYQ4QqjkC86vkNZz6tiqBaKo3 R75gEDn5mddTohi5ltWCd/xlAqiTq3TdZK0sBR3DhTSWVR2fLHKZRtY+rj34eor6nXpN0/ 7sl8hSbUZgfUKwrnE8TDyfGbofagN1qNTCyOIwhlUjd5pEfZQMTez0pau4H2BJV9djn1zI pNJ5KTdT2DEoYQmnplg/Pk1I5a9+YFiVhNsT34qWoJTSjw8CddIPQN1O/O4UEUdbfQWxxC Aw2vfhmwtDUtsmRnLhkpFh7qITHWxeCW9c/wvJ6EShj8f8zlRJ3UaGc/1PB4+g== Received: from [IPV6:2601:648:8683:39a0:f055:f679:76c4:bebe] (unknown [IPv6:2601:648:8683:39a0:f055:f679:76c4:bebe]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 (128/128 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) (Authenticated sender: jhb) by smtp.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 4S91r02j1Lz1F1Y for ; Tue, 17 Oct 2023 17:56:16 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) Message-ID: Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2023 10:56:15 -0700 List-Id: Vendors who use FreeBSD in their products List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/vendors List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-vendors@freebsd.org X-BeenThere: vendors@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/102.15.1 Content-Language: en-US From: John Baldwin To: vendors@FreeBSD.org Subject: FreeBSD Bay Area Vendor Summit, Nov 2-3 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit You’re invited to join us at the November 2023 FreeBSD Vendor Summit taking place November 2nd-3rd, 2023, at NetApp’s San Jose campus. As with previous summits at BSDCan we are planning for a two day summit overlapping with BSDCan's tutorial days on Wednesday, May 29th and Thursday, May 30th. Each working group will need a chairperson to drive the group and will have a room with A/V equipment, tables, chairs, etc. A group can either meet for a single session (roughly 1.5-2 hours) or for two sessions (3-4 hours total). Some possible working group topics include: - Bug Busting and Triage - Network Performance - FreeBSD on Laptops (Graphics / Wireless) - Fault Management - Ports and Packaging Infrastructure (sub-packages, kmod packages) - Development Tools (lldb, valgrind) - Pre-commit Testing and CI - Hibernation - Designing a Power Management Framework - Using Lua/C++/Rust, etc. in the Base System We are now looking for proposals for working groups. These proposals should be sent to devsummit@FreeBSD.org by March 21, 2024. We look forward to your proposals. If you have any questions, feel free to send them to devsummit@FreeBSD.org. -- John Baldwin From nobody Thu May 2 20:23:57 2024 X-Original-To: vendors@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4VVll21ygqz5Jyxn for ; Thu, 2 May 2024 20:23:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) Received: from smtp.freebsd.org (smtp.freebsd.org [96.47.72.83]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "smtp.freebsd.org", Issuer "R3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4VVll212Z0z3wpc for ; Thu, 2 May 2024 20:23:58 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1714681438; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding; bh=fIYPe+uXkH4+lQa3ks9rtycYCZZvSxW/EhWmFSG4Jbg=; b=ph89I+wJC5Z9QDJgR7GpTzDzxuX9bulLxo90XahFbfKFgARdS6xJVaXOgvACoq6xpnB4tx jUJQheY0GgkNcAo+4hwoTwqpAiQMbf/Y1qcZkdvzR9yU/Toa2GwR4GWuO97x1jcNDNLYxp wonSNJyctT++yr0cyc8+kCpOyk8cVR1Fp/PZqo1MEIiOmw0/NWD1tVsJwcLyZiKbUPi4bR ClvmZw9eDTV+VrzN/w0/geKH8IFNFJvn3T7Qq5Ix/B3JpA4Yb+4v0mMiU9bPsdRun2Ce3O CdzKm3sB94mixNBTbg5wj6rSrA7Wm/e3RD6sKOJV5BJkeQ8zPtAIlUCGqpe5HQ== ARC-Seal: i=1; s=dkim; d=freebsd.org; t=1714681438; a=rsa-sha256; cv=none; b=aNpnFEawkxph2p3KBBxhvCBHqS2+Z+/uibpnhxoGNzi220I7H2dXHMoT66wEidb/u1sTsx ct+iTrPz4SJ1f2Tr0TII0g3qhiX8x949WPGiNFW6Fn+q377I8d6eGlkFvR4s04Zc1pVuV/ bkgPzNQ6LnjxWgAgIWA6gNUQvj8SKtCExZL+y1CXIFcyvC1VynYBIrvB//VOG7l3/QLIUn POAE9yfZ70gbXdPZMiGOqwgoJ9IaAsIZdLIww/IGhzXm6pufMic4pzZzQfLwX5F915SUU5 6csSGoapBqcIAEJMqQLh+n3yLCCKmYxH6kOgUZLEPWd3hcCqElkAwcz5fPZvgg== ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx1.freebsd.org; none ARC-Message-Signature: i=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1714681438; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding; bh=fIYPe+uXkH4+lQa3ks9rtycYCZZvSxW/EhWmFSG4Jbg=; b=S8IVnd9XijPuUnYFna35IzsngOlP/p0loRF8hE2g4n2MlN5J47fnys8Gkf3fXv1A6oUi7s DEzJURpJv5S9KpPzX3D2oSLIufQzx5DWdhkotxAGkvhb0k2ULABqH1WI5tVvOK7OoduVIx v7q4EajS4UtpoAjduuplKgGFVp7oLl/vjKoe1g5NXk4p89c5Ju0jT8PhkxwdEPgXOXVJ5L hqtkYQaaIwLBIt/oDex7PYAzKsknivaYwJ/4A3upuh/EPfwIs7/63rjOzgKBVFOXCG1sb3 0EX4kXnkDFhdGNmhZ3hS85bDC+1SyI+zEbKvYWlrb2X4Cp0431b3V/KCFYWS2g== Received: from [IPV6:2601:644:937f:4c50:9cfa:8697:fa71:6461] (unknown [IPv6:2601:644:937f:4c50:9cfa:8697:fa71:6461]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 (128/128 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256) (Client did not present a certificate) (Authenticated sender: jhb) by smtp.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 4VVll16XrRz1MwZ for ; Thu, 2 May 2024 20:23:57 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@FreeBSD.org) Message-ID: <28d7ff72-ab26-43e7-aeec-d7ac3f4a5fcf@FreeBSD.org> Date: Thu, 2 May 2024 13:23:57 -0700 List-Id: Vendors who use FreeBSD in their products List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/vendors List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-BeenThere: vendors@freebsd.org Sender: owner-vendors@FreeBSD.org MIME-Version: 1.0 User-Agent: Mozilla Thunderbird From: John Baldwin Subject: BSDCan 2024 Developer Summit Content-Language: en-US To: vendors@FreeBSD.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit The FreeBSD developer summit at BSDCan is fast approaching at the end of this month and registration is now available via BSDCan. The schedule for both days as well as other details can be found here: https://freebsdfoundation.org/news-and-events/event-calendar/may-2024-freebsd-developer-summit/ The fee to attend the summit is $125 CAN and is paid to BSDCan via the same process used to pay for BSDCan registration. This covers lunch and drinks for both days of the summit as well as a casual dinner with other attendees for one evening. When you register for BSDCan, there is a "FreeBSD Developer Summit" optional purchase. Simply check that item and include the fee when sending payment to BSDCan. The $125 will be included in the total fee given at the end of the BSDCan registration process. The summit will be held at NetApp's San Jose campus. The summit will feature a single track of talks across two days. In addition, an on-campus reception will take place following the conclusion of the meeting sessions on Thursday, November 7th. We will share more details soon including the detailed schedule, travel information, and the process for registration. We are now accepting talk proposals. Please submit talk proposals to devsummit@FreeBSD.org by September 16th. The summit is open to the public and there will be a registration fee of US $150. Interested in sponsoring the Summit? Contact marketing@freebsdfoundation.org. Looking forward to seeing you in November in San Jose! -- John Baldwin
