I've enabled the AMD761 feature to send an Athlon into a "suspend" state, a trick used for a while on Windows boxes: pciconf -w -b pci0:0:0 0x62 0xb7 It lowered my CPU temp from 40.5 C to 22 C. I haven't noticed any problems, but is there any reason this might cause problems?
