Try removing things you don't need.  Take a look at the ports tree for
files leftover from builds, if $HOME is mounted from /usr take a look at
your [users] home directories, possible there's some stuff in there that
can go away.

Of course it's always possible that "/usr" just isn't big enough for
your needs - try adding another disk and moving "/usr" or parts of
"/usr" to the new disk.
