As part o= f my testing, I upgraded to 10.3-RELEASE-p6 and tried again with the same result= .=20 Searching the ports tree, I do have the latest R version: Port: R-3.3.1_3 Path: /usr/ports/math/R Info: Language for statistical computing and graphics So, I tested in a 10.3 jail to see if a fresh clean install will make a difference. This made me realize that the issue was in my Cairo configurat= ion settings. The Cairo port was installed as a dependency for an unrelated po= rt, since my FreeBSD box is a server. Because I didn't see a need for X11, I h= ad deselected OpenGL, X11, and XCB in the Cairo config, keeping only Glib. Th= is was the problem. I reset the Cairo config, reinstalled the port, and then R compiled and installed with no problem. Thanks for looking into this even after the bug report was closed. Out of curiosity, is it possible to add a detailed Cairo check in the R port? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
