John Baldwin sent a comment regarding this stating that the links are appropriate in their current state because the link text is the email address for the list, hence the associated URL should be the mailto link. As much as I liked my idea, I think he's correct on the issue. :-) However, the list names are all contained on the page at http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/eresources.html#ERESOURCES-MAIL, so it would be appropriate to change the text of the paragraph Ron mentioned in the following way (or maybe some derivative thereof), thus eliminating the email address confusion: 1.Join the FreeBSD-stable mailing list. This will keep you informed of build-dependencies that may appear in stable or any other issues requiring special attention...
