Does not seem to work this way here:

    # ifconfig lo0
    lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 16384
	    inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
    # ifconfig lo0 127.0.0.2 netmask 0xffffffff alias
    # ifconfig lo0 127.0.0.3 netmask 0xffffffff alias
    # ifconfig lo0 127.0.0.4 netmask 0xffffffff alias
    # ifconfig lo0 127.0.0.5 netmask 0xffffffff alias
    # ifconfig lo0 127.0.0.6 netmask 0xffffffff alias
    # ifconfig lo0
    lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 16384
	    inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
	    inet 127.0.0.2 netmask 0xffffffff
	    inet 127.0.0.3 netmask 0xffffffff
	    inet 127.0.0.4 netmask 0xffffffff
	    inet 127.0.0.5 netmask 0xffffffff
	    inet 127.0.0.6 netmask 0xffffffff

What are the exact steps you took to define those aliases?
