I am very sorry Jerry but I bought the software as a package!!! I would expect to be working!!! I cannot imagine that I would by Microsoft product to find out that the manuals do not match the enclosed software. On the package it said "SOLID OPERATING SYSTEM BY FREEBSD!!!" Also, it "Runs on every PC!!!" but it does not, so far I was not able to configure the monitor, I get something like: "cannot find X server"! I guess FreeBSD is not that solid after all!!! Well, I returned the software and got my money back, at least that was a solid return. George NOTE: I hate wasting time on unresolved issues that are claimed to be resolved by the experts! -----Original Message----- From: Jerry McAllister [mailto:jerrymc@clunix.cl.msu.edu] Sent: Monday, March 22, 2004 3:01 PM To: hueygeorge@comcast.net Cc: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: Re: MAKEDEV - where is it? > > Hi, > > would anyone know where the MAKEDEV file in FreeBSD version 5.1 resides if > it does? > I cannot find the file anywhere! Better do some studying or searching. THis has been covered dozens of times lately in the lists. It is documented as well. Check on devfs as well as MAKEDEV. ////jerry > > Thanks, > > George > > ------=_NextPart_000_0000_01C41014.03F896B0 > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" > MIME-Version: 1.0 > Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit > Content-Disposition: inline > > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" > > ------=_NextPart_000_0000_01C41014.03F896B0-- > >
