Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Does anyone know how FreeBSD rates with Linux (performance wise?) And Has anyone tried installing FreeBSD on an IBM Aptiva? They have a special sound card/modem/joystick card (MWave) that sort of tries to do it all; however, it requires their drivers (at least to my understanding) and does not react very well if you are using the modem while listening to the CD-ROM. Oh, and one more thing, FreeBSD allows you to do the equivalent of dial up networking correct? Sorry for the somewhat stupid nature of these questions, but I don't have enough time to read documentation...
