I need to see: ldd /usr/bin/passwd grep passwd_format /etc/login.conf grep passwd_format ~/.login_conf ls -l /usr/bin/passwd /usr/lib/lib*crypt.* nm --dynamic /usr/lib/lib{util,crypt}.so.? | grep crypt_set_format at least.
