I found a lot of old talk on hackers about porting the Pentium optimizing
gcc to FreeBSD, but none of the locations mentioned (ports, packages,
xperiment) have anything.

I guess I could work on a port if no one else is.  Suggestions on where
to start (Linux port of the changes to 2.7.2, the original Intel stuff, 
etc).
