Hello there colleagues,

it there a way to implement CAR-alike traffice shaper under FreeBSD
4-stable ipfw/dummynet? Digging into ipfw man page did not give me much
clue ;)

Example of possible usage would be described as follows:

channel bandwidth is 128 kbps
ssh + smtp traffic should have "reserved" bandwidth e.g. of 32 kbps, but I
certainly do not wand to shape all other traffic to 128-32 kbps.

Is this situation describeable in ipfw's pipe/queue terms?

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
D.Marck [DM5020, DM268-RIPE, DM3-RIPN]
