The unknown device is the raid controller on the card (you know, the chip we can't use since we can't get the specs on it without signing an NDA). It can be safely ignored, but if you look at the card, it is the one big chip that isn't the same as the other three big chips (which are the three 2940 equivelant SCSI controllers).
