I don't know if this is any help -- I've only had one bad experience with
the external version in a sync environment -- but --

I had some trouble with the data channels vs. the POTS. I had to define
primary data channel as the _second_ line (I forget what they called it)
and left the POTS undefined. The BitSURFR is very picky about spids -- 
use the 01 at the end of the spid the RBOC gives you. Channel bonding was
also peculiar. Since you're doing ppp on both ends, you probably want to
use the "clear channel" option.

Probably data and voice -- or Caller ID crap. From the setup menu I
remember, I can't see why it would need two interrupts. Their tech support
didn't say anything to me about that.
