Hi Guys, I've searched through the ML archive, but haven't a reference to this issue. I've recently installed FreeBSD v6.1 (AMD64) from the CD ISO, and everything has been working great. (All sofwtare installed is that comes on the ISO CD). I've also managed to get DRI and OpenGL working with my ATI R9600XT! :) However I'm stuck using a 16bit colour depth. If I force 24bit or 32bit colour (even when I disable DRI/OGL - as I thought it may be related to having 3d accel enabled), I get the following message: (II) Setting vga for screen 0. (II) RADEON(0): MMIO registers at 0xff3f0000 (==) RADEON(0): Write-combining range (0xff3f0000,0x80000) was already clear (II) RADEON(0): PCI bus 1 card 0 func 0 (**) RADEON(0): Depth 24, (**) framebuffer bpp 24 (EE) RADEON(0): Radeon does NOT support 24bpp (II) UnloadModule: "ati" (II) UnloadModule: "radeon" (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. Fatal server error: no screens found So, does the radeon driver support 24/32bit colour? Or have I missed something? Chewy... PS. ATI R9600XT AGP on a Tyan K8W (AMD-8151 AGP chipset). PPS.
