I'll need to you help me debug this core file.  Can you edit librep's
Makefile, and add the line:

STRIP=

Then, build librep with:

env CFLAGS="-O -g -pipe" make install

Then, when the core dump occurs, run:

gdb /path/to/rep rep.core

At the (gdb) prompt, type bt to get a back trace.
