"Derivates" is actually a real word--although I had to look it up. :)

"Derivates" is not commonly used though, so "derivatives" is better. 
Although some reading of "derivative" can take it to mean copies or 
clones or in some way less than the original.  Another word like 
"branches" or "descendants" might be more clear.
