I have the same kind of problems when using StarOffice 5.1 with linux=20 port and FreeBSD. My solution was to install Linux, install staroffice from the original=20 CD, than take a "snapshot" from it with the libraries and make a "freebsd=20 package" along with the linux libs. This libs make staroffice respond=20 to accent characters like: =E7 =E3 =F5... indeed I am using starmail to = put=20 this email in the list. The Staroffice (in pkg_add format are at:=20 ftp://200.215.24.176/packages/All/Staroffice-5.5.1.tgz)=20 along with the linux-base 5.2 and the linux-compat-br-1.0 package that=20 make staroffice accent. Of course, this Staroffice is for my native language (portuguese), but=20 if you need and english version I can build one next week. (please=20 bother me). Hope this can help. --------------=_4D4800BB1AD42A88F260 Content-Description: filename="text1.html" Content-Type: text/html Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Re: staroffice 5.1 my solution</TITLE> <META NAME=3D"GENERATOR" CONTENT=3D"StarOffice/5.1 (Linux)"> <META NAME=3D"CREATED" CONTENT=3D"20000304;12181000"> <META NAME=3D"CHANGEDBY" CONTENT=3D"sergio lenzi"> <META NAME=3D"CHANGED" CONTENT=3D"20000304;12262200"> </HEAD> <BODY> <PRE> Hello all.
