The system is actually unusable :-( (i hope i copied the messages correctly from the screen): Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode fault virtual address = 0x1e fault code = supervisor read, page not present instruction pointer = 0x8:0xf010c830 stack pointer = 0x10:0xf4122f30 frame pointer = 0x10:0xf4122f30 code segment = base 0x0, limit 0xfffff, type 0x1b = DPL0 , pres 1 , def 321 , gran 1 processor eflags = interrupt enabled, resum, IOPL = 0 current process = 4 (update) interrupt mask = kernel: type 12 trap, code = 0 Stopped at _lockstatus+0x8: cmpw $0,0x10(%edx) -------------------trace-------------- ufs_islocked+0x15 vfs_msync+0x38 _sync+0x4c _vfs_update+0x3b _kproc_start+0x32 _fork_trampoline+0x1d I'm running the latest -current. I have no idea how to reproduce this, but it happens very frequently. Any ideas how to fix this? If you need some additional info i'll try to provide it. Best regards. -------- Gennady B.
