Has anyone thought about shipping 4.4 et seq on DVD media? 4.3GB
fits on a single DVD with room to spare. Add a bootable CD for the
installation and the second for the live filesystem/fixit CD, and you
have a complete 3-disc set.

(Speaking of DVDs, I haven't heard anything in a long, long time
about the progress of a R/W UDF filesystem, which would make life with
both CD/RW and DVD-RAM devices pretty darned sweet.)
