As a matter of course you should upgrade your kernel (versions before 2.2.16 have a serious security flaw). I believe 2.2.16 has a newer aic7xxx driver, but you should also consider getting the latest aic7xxx driver from http://people.redhat.com/dledford. The site includes Red Hat modules and source.
