Agreed, but I think that a vendor feels much more "at home" if you can address him persoanlly. Just a simple mail saying "Hi, we know that you rely on part xyz of FreeBSD, and we want to inform you that it is going to change in the next RELEASE, You should have a look at CURRENT for what's going on. Bye." would be enough. I really think that our view of FreeBSD is too technical. We should start to care about what people are doing with it, not only thinking of what features to add next. Remember: FreeBSD rises and falls with the applications that are availabel for it. Hey, that's what it's all about. I want to encourage vendors to develop products for FreeBSD by letting them now that there is someone who cares about their needs and problems. Christoph -- If you put garbage in a computer nothing comes out but garbage. But this garbage, having passed through a very expensive machine, is somehow enobled and none dare criticize it.
