I think I might be able to run a few tests with the xterm support patch during the next week. > If no serious issues turn up that I've not been able to fix before the > end of the year, I'll commit it one of the first days of January. Heh, that would be a good New Year's gift :-) I have been using screen and a .bashrc snippet that sets TERM=vt220 inside screen until now. This has proved to be a remarkably good combination for [ FreeBSD console -> screen -> TERM=vt220 -> ssh ] sessions to BSD, Linux *and* Solaris systems. I suspect having full `TERM=xterm' support in the console would make at least half of this setup obsolete and make ssh connections to non-BSD systems Just Work(TM) without the screen+vt220 hack! --=-=-= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (FreeBSD) iEYEARECAAYFAklRNmQACgkQ1g+UGjGGA7ZgdwCeLZmbU4rfecjuq445XeRL4Ljg fqgAoJdYCY1m2BoJbG+wArxoL6RFBmy+ =Kn3j -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-=-=--
