The drive has two partitions /dev/sdb1 (DOS) and /dev/sdb2 (FreeBSD). The second partition was disklabeled as below and the label and fdisk both written. Having said that, when I rebooted the disk the original Linux partitions were still there. I also tried with a clean IBM 0665 (1GB) disk with the same results.
