No need to be sorry.  We've all made much more serious mistakes. :-)

I posted publically because this is a common mistake.  Funnily enough,
I've just received mail from Tim Vanderhoek asking whether there exists
a list of commonly made mdoc mistakes.

While no such document exists right now, I shall make it my mission to
make one next week!  I'll be sure to post to -committers whatever we
come up with in -doc.
