The faster version of this is
find /usr/ports -maxdepth 3 -name work -type d -print0 | xargs -0 rm -rf
Simpler is to put..
WRKDIRPREFIX=/foo/bar
in /etc/make.conf
Then you can just rm -rf /foo/bar/work to delete all of the port build goop.
