Ryan Duda recently asked: % I was wondering if there is a way to make ppp or pppd automatic redial if % there is a disconnection. Nat Low replied: > To keep my connection established, I have a cron job that checks my mail > every 10 minutes with popclient. If you use IIJPPP (user-mode PPP) and set timeout to 0, it will redial the link anytime it goes down. This works nicely for 'nailed up' PPP connections over POTS lines. -- "Where am I, and what am I doing in this handbasket?"
