To: freebsd-scsi@FreeBSD.ORG Date: Fri, 6 Nov 1998 14:38:53 -0500 (EST) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4ME+ PL26 (25)] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-scsi@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org I sent this to -questions a few days ago and received only one response, which was someone looking for the answer as well. ;-) There are apparently a a set of patches to/snapshots of 2.2.x that included CAM support (ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/development/cam). However, the README mentions "questions" regarding support for 7890/1 controllers built in to some motherboards (such as the ASUS P2B-S). My question is will CAM/789x support be included in 2.2.8, or will it remain a 3.x thing? I've been extremely happy with a couple of 2.2.x boxes, and would rather wait until 3.1 if possible instead of jumping to 3.0. Please cc me on any response.
