For me, time can be spared, but errors should be avoided at all costs. I have upgraded FreeBSD before, for example 7.0 -> 7.1. I use the buildworld/buildkernel procedure. I now have a 7.1 system. Should I upgrade to 7.2 and then to 7.3, or is it safe to go directly from 7.1 to 7.3? - Nerius P.S. I will also be upgrading 8.0 to 8.2 on another system, and assume the answer you give can be applied there as well.
