Neil's portconf stuff can be seen at http://rucus.ru.ac.za/~nbm/old/portconf/, and Kris's recent PORTREVISION/PORTEPOCH can be seen in the mailing list archives (this was *NOT* that long ago). Basically, Neil provided a lot of code but not sufficient information about how to adopt his system as generally useful in the ports collection. That's what I'm trying to do with ports-option; provide information *then* work on the implementation. The reason for doing it this way is because such a project requires a lot of code, and it would be a shame to have to rewrite it because of some small nit that you forgot. Remember, this project affects the entire port tree. *THE*ENTIRE*PORTS*TREE*. Think about it - 3,700+ ports. -- Will Andrews <will@physics.purdue.edu> <will@FreeBSD.org> GCS/E/S @d- s+:+ a--- C++ UB++++$ P+ L- E--- W+ N-- !o ?K w--- O- M+ V- PS+ PE++ Y+ PGP+>+++ t++ 5 X+ R+ tv+ b++ DI+++ D+ G++ e>++++ h! r- y?
