Should I file a bug report? according to the manpage, unionfs is still buggy in 7.2: BUGS THIS FILE SYSTEM TYPE IS NOT YET FULLY SUPPORTED (READ: IT DOESN'T WORK) AND USING IT MAY, IN FACT, DESTROY DATA ON YOUR SYSTEM. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. BEWARE OF DOG. SLIPPERY WHEN WET. I'm using nullfs to do what you're trying and it just works. regards, Ruben
