The new vx driver I'm currently writing (and really hope to have something to show soon... work keeps getting in the way) won't use the programmed I/O interface at all. More than likely, the new driver will work beautifully for the B rev. The driver is being developed for the 3C905A that I own, so it won't take advantage of any of the fancier features like descriptor polling. Unless, of course, someone is willing to swap a B rev. card for by A rev. -Ben > On Thu, 7 May 1998, Jordan K. Hubbard wrote: > > > I don't follow this at all.
