Does anyone know if a Adaptec 1542 can coexist with an ide controller and disk? FreeBSD would be on the scsi disk. How would booting be handled in this case? It would probably be under FreeBSD the majority of the time. He has an IDE cdrom, and he knows that the IDE cdrom support might be a little sparse for some configurations, and might not work for his.
