One that works well with limited cameras is cqcam. An old version is in /usr/ports/graphics/cqcam but the main source is here: http://www.cs.duke.edu/~reynolds/projects/ Check out the list of supported cameras before getting started. I made the mistake of buying a QuickCam VC first and had to return it. There's quite a bit of info available at Mr. Reynolds' site, as well as at links from his FAQ.
