Recently.. within the last month or so.. my simple USB mouse stopped being detected at boot time. The /dev/ums0 device simply does not appear unless I unplug the mouse and plug it back in again. Then it is detected. I don't even know where to begin looking for answers to this one. Is there something I can do to force the system to rescan for my mouse to save me from crawling around on the floor whenever I reboot?
