I just bought a new 18 gig LVD drive. It does this on two different controllers. I've got the cable terminated, it's using a 68 pin cable and an adaptor. FreeBSD 4.1.1 loads just fine, except for the errors, but it dosen't seem to load the kernal (It'll boot though!) A 4 gig drive works on both controllers with the terminator and adaptor just fine. I've not played with LVD much so I don't know if I'm missing something or if I just happen to have a toasted drive... :( Rick ******************************************************************* Rick's FreeBSD Web page http://heorot.1nova.com/freebsd Ace Logan's Hardware Guide http://www.shatteredcrystal.net/hardware ***FreeBSD - The Power to Serve! http://www.freebsd.org To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
