I'm currently spec'ing out a system to have a master server with /home shared via NFS. there will be at least 3 client machines mounting /home and using NIS for login info. Is there a way to create a backup NFS server? Say the primary goes down, I can quickly bring the backup online. If so, how are changes to /home updated on the backup server (when users are actively creating new files). I have read about "rsync". Are there others I should look at? Thank you.
