You're right. Looking in the mount(8) manpage on Linux:

\begin{quote}
       The programs mount and umount maintain a list of currently
       mounted  file  systems in the file /etc/mtab.  If no argu-

Correct. mount will show all current mounts when invoked without
arguments (same as Linux, BTW).

Anyway: where does the below mention error come from? It's either rpm or
the installtion script, right?
