The big picture: linux_lib has been replaced by linux_base, which is based on RH 5.2 packages. Linux mode on -stable does not yet support the additional requirements of a RH 6.0 based environment, although -current now does. RH 6.0 based versions of linux_base and linux_devtools can be downloaded from my personal pages at http://www.FreeBSD.org/~marcel/ for those running -current. I'll make you a deal: I'll invest some time now to make you a set of patches so that you can run RH 6.0 based programs on -stable, if you are willing to invest some time in testing and debugging it if a problem does occur. If it all works out well, I might get it into the next release.
