It seems SiS come up with a new variety and combination each week. Much of the 630e chipset is actually supported by FreeBSD, with the exception of the USB controller, which identifies itself as a 7001 instead of the usual 5571 controller used in other revisions. This controller is identified as a 5571 by FreeBSD, but presents a number of corner cases and hangups when put to practical use (sporadic lockup of the USB bus, stalling devices, etc). Is the FreeBSD project interested in obtaining more precise specifications for this, or is it planned at all? Cheers, Brad -- // -- http://www.BRAD-X.com/ -- //
