I had a big hassle getting fdisk and disklabel to agree on what the drive's geometry should be. It's a Seagate 2 gig barracuda (st32550n). Well, I finally got it to one big type 165 slice and two partitions. They newfs'd and mounted and I moved a bunch of files over, everything looked great -- now when I boot though, after the fsck I get the message: "sd1: invalid primary partition table: no magic" Who what where and how do I acquire magic for sd1?? Thanks! Ian Kallen ian@gamespot.com Director of Technology & Web Administration http://www.gamespot.com
